Get Knotty

Summer isn’t completely over, autumn isn’t here yet – this is the best time to flaunt how creative you can get with scarves!

1 The Braided Knot
Fold the scarf in half and drape around your neck. Pull the long ends through the loop. Take the loop and give it a twist, locking in the first end and creating a second loop. Pull the ends through the new loop, tighten for a braided look.

2 The Classic Infinity
This is one of the most common styles of wearing a neck scarf. Begin by tying the ends of your scarf together, creating one large loop. Hang the loop over your neck, situating the knot at the back. Twist the scarf and layer it second or third time over your head, covering and hiding the knot.

Scarves aren’t just for the colder weather; they are fun to dress with and can take almost any outfit up a notch. Different fabrics and colours can adjust into your wardrobe all year round. Make them your favourite accessory – learn a few new classy ways to tie your scarf and remain cosy and stylish all the time!

3 The Fake Knot
Place the scarf around the back of your neck; make a loose knot on one end of it. Pull through the loose end of the scarf through the knot then pull the knot upwards to tighten. Adjust to even out the ends of the scarf and make it comfortable.

4 The Timeless Bow

This style is best for formal affairs. Take a long scarf and hang it around the back of your neck. With the end at the front, simply tie a loose bow, adjusting so that the knot is tight and the loops are full. Wear the bow centred down the front, or swung over to the side. This will look even better if the ends of your scarf have details like tassles.

5 The Half Bow
Place the scarf around the back of your neck. Adjust so that one end is longer than the other, and cross over. Keep the longer end on top and cinch towards the neck. Pull the longer end up through the bottom, creating a loop. As you pull, keep the end taut, so it tightens securely. Spread the bow and wear it on the side or in front.

6 The Basic Loop
Fold a square shaped scarf in half diagonally to create a triangle, and rest one-third of the scarf over one of your shoulders. Loop the longer end around the front of your neck and drape the rest of the scarf over your other shoulder. Adjust as needed. Details like frills and tassles would make this scarf style look even better.

7 The Cowboy Way
Place the scarf behind your neck with one end longer than the other. Loop the scarf once around your neck. Fan out the longer side then tuck one end into the back of the loop.

8 The European Twist
Fold the scarf in half, lengthwise, then drape it around your neck. Slide one end under and through the loop and slide the other end over and through the loop. Tighten and fluff your scarf, adjusting as needed.

9 The Autumn Favourite
Loop your scarf twice around the neck then tie a knot behind, at the nape of the neck. Take one end of the scarf and pull through one of the loops. Take the other end and pull through the other loop and adjust.

10 The Twisted Necklace
Start with the basic loop; take one end and begin twisting one end of the scarf around the existing loop several times, ending at the centre in front. Mirror the twist with the other end on the opposite side, working towards the centre in front. Adjust as need and rock the style.

11 The Rectangle Knot
This is one of the easiest and quickest styles out there. Fold the scarf in half, creating a rectangle. Drape the scarf across the back of your neck and bring the ends to meet at front. Take the ends and tie them in one loose knot. Swing the knot to one side, and you’re good to go!

12 The Cape Wrap
You will need a square shaped scarf to achieve this style. Open your scarf and fold it so the ends meet to form a triangle. Place it over your shoulders with the tip of the triangle falling at the back in downward direction. Make a square knot (or any other fancy knot you want) with the two ends in front, and you’re done. You can pin the scarf at your sholders to keep it in place.
