- 30 Mar - 05 Apr, 2024
The first-ever International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) recently took place in London amidst much fanfare along with a host of Pakistani celebrities who thronged the red carpet dressed in their best for the evening. The glitzy affair celebrated Pakistan’s 70th independence and acknowledged legendary figures of the country’s entertainment industry. The expatriate community and crème de la crème of London showed up at the event in large numbers. Held at Hilton Park Lane, the event was the first of its kind to have taken place as part of promoting Pakistan’s entertainment business at an international level. Around 30 awards were bestowed upon winners of which 22 belonged to the people’s choice category, voting of which was done by people in Pakistan, as well as those around the world in large numbers to honour their favourite nominees, while eight awards were specially conferred upon four British Pakistanis for their remarkable achievements and other four were presented to outstanding Pakistanis.
