Kapoor is winning over the audience with her latest roles in her films. The actress also received a special mention at the National Film Awards for her performance in Neerja. Currently, Sonam is working on her sister Rhea Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar. The style icon has reportedly also finished filming for Twinkle Khanna's debut production venture, PadMan which will see her portraying the role of a tabla player for which she took classes. She will, reportedly, play the role of the 'other woman' in the film that also stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte.

Reports say that Sonam might have a role in Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt. The actress shared her excitement by saying, "I just jumped at that chance. I was like 'I don't care, tell me what I have to do. If you want me to walk across the frame, I'll do that'. Unfortunately, I can't. But I am huge Raju Hirani fan. I have seen every film of his."

The actress also put up a post on Twitter, saying that she had signed two more films and will talk about them soon.
