Bridal Gala
Fashion designers Adnan Pardesy, Ruby Shakel, Samar Mehdi, Aeisha Varsey, Yousuf Bashir Qureshi amongst others, along with Lahore-based designer Mehdi and Humaira Khan from India showcased their collections at the Feathers recently. Choreographed by Imran Kureishi, the event featured two mini-fashion presentations, the first showcased a capsule pret collection of the designers stocking at the store and the second displayed exquisite bridal collections. The outfits were an eclectic mix of traditional elegance and modish appeal, magnificently designed down to each intricate detail. The vibrancy of the colour palette featuring contrasting tones of emerald greens, vibrant purples, sky blues, coral pinks, cherry reds, ivory and gold completely wooed the audience.
The stunning bridals ranging from high-collared long shirts, embellished overcoats, lovely paneled shirts teamed up with magnificent shararas and traditional churidar pyjamas, displayed a perfect balance of zari, dabka, resham and sequins embroidery. The designers incorporated beautiful colour combinations into their collections ranging from conventional black and white, red and gold, pink and silver to more unconventional ones like emerald green, white and deep purple, and rust. Each model projected the designs and collections with tremendous ease and finesse, and each one of them showed amazing confidence embraced with beauty. The exquisite designs showcased at the event highlighted the new trends for the upcoming bridal season.
