57th FILMFARE AWARDS 2012
 Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan walked away with top honours at the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards 2011 that was recently held in Mumbai. The event saw Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara scooping maximum statuettes, followed by Rockstar and The Dirty Picture. Ranbir Kapoor, who co-hosted the show with Shahrukh Khan, won the Best Actor (Male) for his seething performance in Rockstar while Vidya Balan lapped the black lady for Best Actor (Female) for her stellar and bold performance in The Dirty Picture. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was adjudged the Best Film and its director Zoya Akhtar was named the Best Director.
The 57th Filmfare Awards also saw the giving away of the 2500th diamond studded Filmfare trophy, befittingly to A.R.Rahman for his music in Rockstar. The evening saw the presence of the who's who of Bollywood and was studded with scintillating performances from a number of stars, including Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza.
