Retro Charm
When Western ensembles come to the forefront, it's like a breath of fresh air, especially when one has been overdosed with desi apparel. For all those formal events where you want to flash your haute couture piece from your wardrobe, you have to come up with something that stands out from the rest. Gowns and dresses are numero uno when it comes to this niche, go for long flowy dresses with cuts suited to your physique, so that the expensive fabric drapes the way you intend it to. Take for example the black and white, somewhat checkered print on the left, the fusion of this western pattern, with eastern motifs in contrasting colour palettes, is versatile and can be worn as per the occasion. The blue and white swirling patterned dress, with beige and pink chiffon bell sleeves, is an outfit best suited for a stroll along the promenade. But the brown and red numbers are the pick, if you want to walk the red carpet facing all the camera flash. The chocolate brown ensemble, with its flowing fabric and its grand bronze coloured border, is perfect for a formal function in the evening. Same goes for the red dress, its simplicity of design, upholds the less is more philosophy in fashion designing. A simple patterned belt with a brooch on it, completes the look perfect to turn heads!
