Aeisha Varsey is a veteran fashion designer who has been in fashion scene for more than two decades now. She is known for her innovative and traditional designs. Aeisha takes her inspiration from royal and mughal culture; hence her designs are an eclectic blend of old world charm and cutting edge contemporary cuts. She is not only popular in Pakistan but her creative genius has earned her a reputed name abroad as well. She specialises in stunning bridal wear and also caters in eastern, western, casual, formal and semi formal wear. Uptill now, she has showcased her collections at almost all the leading fashion shows. Recently MAG caught up with Aeisha for a brief chat. Excerpts:
What are you currently working on?
There are a couple of things. For instance, we are working on the AV Signature line, wedding line that is our luxury prêt line and mayyun and mehndi collections as both the functions reflects the true essence of our grand and regal wedding ceremonies.
What bridal trends do you predict for 2012?
Long tapered shirts with chic cuts, vibrant colour palette and assorted fabric textures.
From where do you get your inspiration?
It can be anything. Simplicity and elegance can inspire me.
Any fashion advice you would like to give to Pakistani women?
Be yourself, express yourself and discover yourself.
What's next for you?
We are all set to launch three more luxury lines and the grand launch would take place soon. So, a lot of things are coming up.
