POL, CNG Prices Reduced
The government has notified a reduction in POL prices by Rs6.44 per litre, relief in the gas tariff from Rs22.95 to Rs45.85 per MMBTU for first two slabs and a decrease in CNG prices by Rs4.59 per kg.
The government has extended the relief in POL prices twice in one month in the wake of a steep decrease in the price of crude oil in the world market.
Ogra notified the decrease in the price of petrol by Rs5.02 per litre to Rs84.49 per litre, HOBC by Rs6.44 per litre to Rs106.88 per litre, high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs2.48 per litre to Rs97.21 per litre, Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs2.86 per litre to Rs83.71, kerosene by Rs2.54 per litre to Rs86.25 per litre.
The regulator has also reduced the CNG price by Rs4.59 per kg in region-1 (the Potohar area, KP and Balochistan), and by Rs4.20 per kg and in region-II (Punjab and Sindh). The new CNG price in region-I will be Rs77.36 per kg and in region-II Rs70.63 per kg.
Under the notification, Ogra has reduced the gas tariff by Rs22.95 per MMBTU to Rs100 per MMBTU from Rs122.95 per MMBTU for the consumers who fall in the first slab of 0-100 cubic meters per month.
