Blocking Fake Sims
It is a fact that unidentified mobile phone connections are being used for terrorist activities in Pakistan. Currently, any one can easily purchase a mobile conection from any street shop without providing required documents. One can even get the phone number of his own choice by paying a little extra. However, the issue is not so much of the absence of law, as of it's non-implementation of its. As an immediate step, I would suggest that instead of doing away with pre-paid connections, their unauthorised sale should be stopped. Cellular network providers should be compelled to make sure that sims are activated only if issued by themselves after ensuring that all legal requirements have been complied with.

In TB Cases
Every year millions of people in the world die from tuberculosis. In Pakistan, thousands are afflicted with TB annually. Ironically, despite the availability of medicines, trained staff and other facilities, many people lose their precious lives to this terrible disease. According to a survey, 1,400 people get afflicted with TB every year in Dadu district only and one person transmits the disease to 10 to 15 other people a year. I believe that under the Millennium Development Goals, we must try and eradicate TB from Pakistan by 2050.

Take Care Of Yourself
I am a sports coach who is on a busy schedule but I always take time out to exercise every day. I come across many people who use their workload as an excuse to avoid working out. The question is: can you really afford to risk your health like that? Where does it get you when you have diabetes because of malnutrition and no exercise? Have a self assessment and you will find plenty of resources to tackle them. With sports as a daily habit you can only win your body, your mind, your emotions and your health. Even the smallest action like a brisk walk at night is better than doing nothing. Happy healthy sporting to everyone!

Weddings At Military Bases
Recent terrorist attacks at Kamra Air Base, Attock and last year's attack at PAF air base, Karachi caused a substantial loss of human lives and damaged costly military assets. This blatant siege of our national assets should have knocked some sense into our security forces, however, that is not the case. Wedding services are being provided at military bases like PAF base in Karachi, which is very alarming because at such functions there are high chances of security breach. Sensitive and high-risk areas like PAF base should not be used for such festivities. I request the authorities concerned to kindly look into this matter.

Decline Of Hockey
Like all other institutions in the country, our national game is steadily deteriorating. Recent criticism over the poor performance of the national team in London Olympics is sufficient to prove that we are frustrated over this humiliating defeat. Degradation in hockey is mainly because of severe shortage of players and decline in hockey activity. Hockey management has few options and has to select from a limited pool of players. Moreover, politics in the Pakistan Hockey Federation is the major hurdle in infusing young blood into the game. Hockey administrators should take notice of this decline of the game and constitute a special commission to determine the reasons of deterioration of hockey and to recommend the measures for its revival.

Strict Traffic Rules
On many occasions, I have witnessed motorists driving recklessly on the roads without any consideration for their fellow drivers. Many drivers think that they can afford to pay fines and escape the situation easily. In my opinion, the officials concerned should reduce speed limits on the roads to about 80 kilometres per hour. Moreover, radar cameras should be installed on every road. The amount of penalties or fines should be increased so that motorists think twice before breaking any traffic rules. Lastly, after a number of violations, the authorities should simply revoke the license of people who fail to adhere to the rules.
