CNG Strike
These days Pakistan is facing an acute fuel shortage of compressed natural gas (CNG). When CNG was introduced, it was considered a very good replacement for fuel. But recently CNG strikes are only adding chaos to the catastrophe. It is very difficult for a common man to travel these days even through public transport. Last week many students missed their exams because of the unavailability of public transport. CNG StrikeIt is making the life of an ordinary man very difficult.

Fast Food Routine
There was a time when everyone from school going children to office going adults used to carry their tiffin boxes in order to avoid eating out. But these days this trend is fading away and people enjoy eating at fast food restaurants, cafés and even food stalls called dhaabas. This routine of eating-out is definitely not a healthy practice. Fast food does not guarantee good quality of ingredients. It increases the rate of obesity and the risk of getting chronic diseases as well. For the sake of health we should watch our diet and prefer healthy home-made food.

Weight Loss Craze
A big problem and a painful fact, FAT. Ask any obese person about difficulties of being overweight and he will tell you the problems he faces being over weight. Three of my friends are regular MAG readers and they are succeeded in gething rid off their fat by following Nutrilicious instructions. MAG's editorial team really deserves appreciation for its efforts in health field. Many people try to find shortcuts for losing weight, these methods are not only expensive they also have side effects. I want to suggest electronic as well as print media to boycott such campaigns which promotes weight loss medicines with side effects.

Forced Marriages
Recently a grown-up girl in my neighbourhood was brutally beaten by her parents. The reason was, she wanted to marry a guy of her choice. The only reason behind rejecting the proposal was that the respective guy was not of their caste and love marriages are not allowed in their family. Moreover, they married her against her will. I found this account very disturbing. Even Islam strictly prohibits forced marriages. Every individual has a right to choose the person with whom he or she wants to spend life.

Mark Twain's Birthday
It was Mark Twain's 176th birthday on 30th November. He was a great writer and I would really like to appreciate him and pay him a tribute for producing such quality books like Tom Swayer, Adventures of Huckelberry Finn and The Prince and the Pauper. He was an amazing writer who not only wrote novels but also short stories. His quotes are also very thought provoking. Our favourite search engine Google also celebrated his birthday, proving that great people never die; they live along with their phenomenal work.

NATO Killings
I would like to express my opinion on the NATO killings; it was a deliberate, blatant act of aggression in which twenty four army soldiers were killed. Thankfully our government did not ignore it and protested against it. This time they have improved and have decided to block the NATO supplies. This attack was no less than the other terrorist attack but still American government claims to fighting a war against terror. In future our government should take extra measures to stop such attacks.
