Style Essentials…
A fashion show was recently held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi to launch the CRLF Automotive Parts. The show showcased works of designer Zakir Hussain, as models sashayed down the ramp in delicately designed ensembles with a diverse colour palette. All outfits featured traditional eastern motifs and embroidery, along with dabka and zari work. The foremost turquoise number, with dabka work and the magnanimous neckline design is perfect for a formal function. The beige coloured dress, with stark black embroidery all over its front, and the polka dotted hemline is for those who like to dress down and wear lighter shades in formal events. The light blue coloured outfit with detailed threadwork in off-white is an eye-catching number, and the motif on the front along with the flared slit-open parting, gives this outfit a touch of elegance. Even the pink dress, with its multi-layered stitching, its frilled hemline and the shimmer of satin, is a piece that traditional eastern women, who like to wear shalwar kameez, would prefer. The same could be said for other outfits that were showcased at the event, as most of it was eastern wear that women and young girls would love to adorn on formal occasions and festivals like Eid. The event was organised by Syed Zakir Hussain, managed by Shahnawaz, and featured prominent media personalities.
