Sweet Valentine Treats
A scrumptious dessert with an impressive presentation is enough to make someone feel special. Indulge in Valentine's Day romance with these sweet treats!

Almond French ToastAlmond French Toast

Ingredients

6 bread slices
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
11/2tsp almond extract,
2tbsp plus 1 cup almond butter, (divided)
3tbsp confectioners' sugar
Sliced fresh strawberries
Almond flakes, for garnishing




Serve It Hot!

METHOD


Cut out bread slices with a cookie cutter; discard trimmings. In a shallow bowl, combine the eggs, milk and 1/2tsp almond extract. Dip bread on both sides in egg mixture. In a large skillet, melt 2tbsp butter. Cook bread slices for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. For almond butter, in a small bowl combine confectioners' sugar and remaining butter and almonds extract; mix well. Sprinkle French toast with additional confectioners' sugar and almond flakes. Serve with almond butter.
