Environment Friendly - The Boxx
This contraption, which looks like an oversize suitcase that sprouted handles – or a MacBook Pro on wheels, is actually a new all-electric bike made by a Portland-based company called Boxx. Its unique design certainly makes it stand out from the crowd, but so do its eco-friendly features.
The Boxx, is an emissions-free vehicle, can be charged using a standard household outlet system. It comes in two configurations: one with a standard Core power system that provides up to 40 miles of travel on a single charge, and another with a Core 2 power system that delivers 80 miles of travel. The maximum speed of the bike is 35 mph.
With traits more similar to a moped than a traditional bike, the Boxx also offers all-wheel drive, traction control, an antilock braking system, and modular control systems. Amenities include two storage compartments, LED indicators and audio alerts, an integrated kickstand, and the option of a heated seat.
Parking and storage should also be easy, as the all-aluminum bike measures just 39 inches tall by 36 inches wide, and it can accommodate a single rider up to 300 pounds and up to 6 feet and 5 inches in height.
The Boxx made its debut at the Portland Auto Show this week, and you can head over to Boxx's Web site to configure and order one. However, you'll have to reach deep into your pockets, as pricing for the electric bike starts at $3,995.

Funny Bones
Roger, who was 19 years old, was buying an expensive bracelet, to surprise his girlfriend on Valentine's Day, at a very smart jeweller's shop in Hatton Garden, London.
The jeweller inquired, 'Would you like your girlfriend's name engraved on it?'
Roger thought for a moment, grinned, then answered, 'No, instead engrave "To my one and only love".'
The jeweller smiled and said, 'Yes, sir; how very romantic of you.'
Roger retorted with a glint in his eye, 'Not exactly romantic, but very practical. This way, if we break up, I can use it again.'
