Increasing Use Of Steroids Among Teenagers
An alarming trend observed in today's young generation is the rising use of anabolic steroids. This trend is a chain reaction of the misunderstood information from the fitness industry. Awestruck by their idols, teenagers resort to drugs like anabolic steroids, but unfortunately they are not aware of the risks associated, which may vary from aggressiveness, increased cholesterol levels, rapid weight gain, damaged liver etc. Moreover, the fact that these drugs are easily available in medical stores and are handed over to teenagers without any prescription is even more appalling. The authorities concerned should immediately take action before it's too late.
Pakistan & India Competing In Reality Shows Together
Pakistan and India are seen to be competing in a series of upcoming reality shows for instance, a cooking competition plus a singing competition airing from a local channel. This trend is not unheard of, as in the past Pakistan and India have competed in numerous reality shows together. Audiences from both countries do want to see their artistes together hence, any Indo-Pak clash generates the most ratings be it a cricket match or a reality show. Although, controversies do tend to strike up when the two arch-rivals come face to face, however this trend should continue in future as well.
Cyber World – A World Without Law & Order
In a real world, when a person commits a crime he or she is held accountable for it and is punished. However, in a cyber world no such accountability is there with absolutely no check and balance. Irrespective of the gravity of the crime, the culprits get away most of the time. Most common cyber crimes include phishing scams, software piracy, cyber stalking etc. Although, an ordinance; Prevention of Electronic Crime Ordinance (PECO) was passed in 2007, it is inactive at the moment. Hence, nowadays when any cyber crime is reported it is just filed down and put away but no action is taken against the culprits.
Most Gruelling Match Ever
The recently held Australian Open final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal is being tagged as the most spectacular men's grand slam final in the history of tennis. Rightly so, because it was also the longest final as it took nearly six hours for Djokovic to beat Nadal. The outstanding match reflected both the players' supreme physical and mental fitness. Although, the Matador tried several times to edge over the Serb, like in the 1st and 4th set, but that just wasn't enough to cool down the fiery drive of Djokovic. Irrespective of the result, the match was truly amazing and was a joy to watch.
Procrastination – A Product Of Perfectionism?
Complete Entertainment Package
We call procrastinators 'lazybones', but seldom do we help them with effective solutions. We need to shed some light upon its major causes. One very important cause is perfectionism which leads to procrastination. Believing that one must do something perfectly is a recipe of stress, and the fear of stress will ultimately make one avoid doing the task. The solution for this dilemma is to give oneself permission to be human, make mistakes and learn from them. It is a fact that practice makes perfect. It's okay to make a terrible first attempt. To end procrastination, we need to realise that an imperfect job completed today is always superior to the perfect job delayed indefinitely.
I have been reading MAG for a year now. My friend had suggested me this magazine for its magnificent coverage of latest fashion shows. I also love travelling, so my favourite section is collage, where all the exotic and exciting sites are mentioned which I add up to my list of places I must visit. I would like to suggest you to please bring up places from Pakistan as well. For instance, a lot of people do not know about our treasures in interior Sindh. Although, Lahore is an urban city but it has some great historical monuments too. The whole team deserves a big round of applause. Keep up the good work guys!
