Dear MAG,
I am a regular reader of newspapers and magazines. Over the years I have developed a keen interest in columns and opinions.
| Letter of the Week |
Dear MAG,
It is about time we take into consideration our responsibility as good citizens and once again be patriotic. I refer to the movies of Pakistani origin. Why is it so that we cannot bear watching our own films? The answer may be right in front of us or even many of us will have the same one. There are good films being now made in Pakistan. All that they need are a little support from us. If we do go and see the movie in the cinema and not the pirated DVD version we would be doing a great favour to the film makers. Also it would be a morally correct action on our part. I do not want to sound overbearing or anything of the sort. I just wanted to get my point across as you guys are widely read.

Dear Maheen
Wow, hats off to you! What a loyal citizen’s thoughts you have. By far one of the best letters we’ve got till now. Yes, we stand in total concurrence. By the by - you have indeed said it all so what can we say. Our job is to take this to the readers and, lady, trust us, the promised would be done.

Sometimes I do come across some good ones in your weekly. I feel there should be a bit more on international/world news and serious columns pertaining to the ever changing situation in our country. I am not saying that I don’t find the likes in MAG; all I’m saying is that there is room for more and I am sure other readers like me would be interested in them.
Masood Baig
Dear Masood Sahib
We appreciate your comments and observations. We have duly added an international section in MAG the Weekly, which gives the latest on world happenings. We are fine tuning it at the moment but one will appear in this issue. Please give us your feedback on it along with the columns we have added. We would appreciate your observations as you are an avid reader. As they say, ‘a book is a man’s best friend’ so are newspapers and magazines. Thanks.

Dear Mag
It is nice to see you get a facelift. Well, the content is also good. But where’s the Q&A section? Is it not going to be a part of the whole thing or what?
Sampras from KU
Dear Sam
Thank you for your positive comments. As for your Q&A part of the question… here it is. Voila, we’ve just started this section. As you will see we are working on developing MAG as the ‘only English weekly of your choice’. With time, you will see a bit of it changing for the better. Anything else you want to ask please feel free to do so.
Team MAG
Hi Guys,
How are you? I actually wanted not to write but I ended up on my computer and before I knew I had already written to you. So here goes. First: is there no section on cars and vehicles there in the MAG? I am a car enthusiast. I also happen to be into computers and technology… Do you guys mind putting in a couple of pages of the above mentioned reader’s interest material? Or is it that I’m the only male reading the magazine?
Anyway, I hope you guys would be nice enough to add the interesting topics we have requested.
Saim & Fatima
Dear Saim & Fatima
To be honest, we read you entire letter which is presented here in truncated form. As a matter of fact we are at present working on these subjects and even a couple more for our readers. You will appreciate, that introducing the relevant material with the relevant strategy is not a very easy task. Check out our coming issues and you will find what you are looking for. Ok, to be frank, we am surprised that Fatima, too, is a car and tech freak! Take care!
Team MAG
Monsieur MAG,
I’ve been writing since your late May issue. Don’t you guys pay attention to someone who is constantly trying to write you? Anyway, if this time you don’t include my letter then bye… I’m not writing anymore.
Kiran
Dear Kiran
We had received and printed one letter from you. If our memory serves us right it was about the contributions for our weekly. And as your query was about how to contribute for MAG we did mention the procedure. It must have skipped your eye. Anyway, we have taken one of your articles and printed it as well. Of course we, here at MAG, do encourage writers to write and readers to strengthen their reading habits.

What to engrave on the inside of my husband-to-be's wedding ring? I turned to my sister and said, "I want something that has meaning and will remind him of me."
Her suggestion? "Put it back on."
