Aaraiz - Aarzoo
One band that has been making waves in the recent times is undoubtedly, Aaraiz. The Islamabad-based band consists of Nabeel Amjad (lead guitars), Sufiyan Javed (vocals), Noman Ali (Bass), Tabbish Mahmood (drums) and Fahad Saeed (rhythms). They have come up with the debut video of a track called Aarzoo, taken from their unreleased first album.
Commencing with mellow guitar riffs, Aarzoo seems to be a placate tune in the beginning as the listener decides to relax on the couch and enjoy Sufyan's captivating voice. But just when its least expected, the track transforms into a heavy fuelled rock ditty fused with Tabbish's lethal stick work, Noman's shattering bass waves and an exciting chorus. However, the noticeable aspect throughout the course of the track is Nabeel's immaculate guitar playing. This chap impresses me and surely seems to be the next best thing in music.
While the track is quite catchy musically, the lyrical content is also very strong. Verses such as Aarzoo hai meri, yeh hath chotay nahi, sung beetay yeh pal, yeh sath chootay nahe speak about the most wonderful relationship in the world; friendship. The theme of the song is about a bunch of students sharing moments of sorrow and happiness spent together at their university premises. The video of the track is directed by Murzie and its theme is synchronous to that of the track. Bravo, Aaraiz!
Radiohead - Nude

Radiohead's latest album In Rainbows has cemented its top slot in many renowned international charts and is undoubtedly their best effort to date. Nude, ex titled, Big Ideas, is my favourite on the record. The song blasts off with a thumping bass front complemented impeccably with thrashing stick work and as soon as Thom Yorke's takes over the microphone, you know you're in for a real treat. Nude is an amalgamation of a dark deep gothic melody and refreshing beat which is quite rare. It is a solid track which will definitely be on your repeat list right after the first listening. Rock on, Radiohead!
Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi - Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
Aamir Khan's nephew, Imran Khan, makes a dashing entry in the Bollywood arena in the former's latest venture,

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The movie is aided with services of A.R.Rehman on the musical front while director Abbas Tyrewala gives him company as a lyricist. From the bar of Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi, it's obvious that the track ain’t goin’ to disappoint! Rashid Ali impresses immensely and plots his vocals superbly on Imran. The beat of the track is synchronised with the dreamy lyrics of the number and is perfect to capture your gorgeous one's heart. Good show!
Singh Is Kinng - Singh is Kinng

Akshay Kumar is definitely the most sought after actor of contemporary times. His style is contagious and he is surely the biggest threat to the ruling Khans. Alongside, the prettiest lady of the recent times, Katrina Kaif, Akshay has recently given a hit like Namastay London.
Singh Is Kinng is the couple's latest project and is rocking musically as well. Another attention grabbing fact about the album is of course, Pritam, who is currently regarded a trump card to any musical success.
For the album, Pritam has hired services of top UK artists such as Hard Kaur (Glassy fame), RDB (Aja Mahi fame), Daler Mehndi, Mika and many more. However, the surprise comes when one comes across Snoop Dog on the title track in collaboration with the RDB boys.
Hooking up to a rapper par excellence as Snoop Dog is quite something. He kicks off the proceedings introducing himself and the rest of the party. The track is a pure club floor banger and is a guaranteed paisa vasool one. It also has some lines sung by Akshay who, I believe, does a fine job. The hard hitting bass is massive and it nearly had my stereo speakers popping out. Highly recommended!
