Shoaib Strikes Again

Filmmaker Shoaib Mansoor's Khuda Kay Liye was the first Pakistani film to find a theatrical release in India in over four decades. The director now plans to shoot his next movie in Mumbai. It took him a good 25 years to make his first feature film, which was widely appreciated in India. "Making a film in Pakistan is not easy. I've fought many battles, petty and epic, to make Khuda Kay Liye. Now of course, I'll make my next film out of Mumbai, And I think I'll make it within a year. This time I can focus on writing and directing the film while my producers will take care of everything else. But it will take me a year to get the script in place," the director said.

Tau Baat Paaki Tabu?

It’s good news for Tabu fans as the elusive actress has finally signed on the dotted line for light-hearted comedy, Tau Baat Pakki. The film is being directed by Kedar, a popular Marathi film director and is being produced by Tips. The film also stars Sharman Joshi and is said to be an absolute rib-tickler.

“I wish I had done Shah Rukh Khan’s role in Dilwale Dulhania le jayenge. The character he (Aamir Khan) plays in 1947 Earth was brilliant too. But Shah Rukh’s role would have been more fun.”

Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran who makes his debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Janee Na.

Film by Hollywood director

Mallika Sherawat will play the lead role in 'Naagin - The Snake Woman' - the first Hindi film to be directed by a Hollywood director! Jennifer Lynch, daughter of four-time Oscar nominee David Lynch, is all set to shoot the film about a subject that has always intrigued the West - the ancient myth concerning the Nag-Naagin (snakes) relationship. Ratan Jain of Venus Records and Tapes is co-producing it with Vikram Singh and Govind Menon. "Venus is known for its commercial family entertainers. There is lot of work happening between Hollywood and Bollywood and the film with Jennifer starring Mallika is a step towards it," said Jain in a press statement.
