IVY League Institution Honours Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan will join the roster of Yale University's Chubb Fellows, one of the Ivy League Institution's highest honours, for promoting human ideals through art.
Through his films and his philanthropy Khan has been among his generation's most important examples of the power of art to promote higher human ideals and aspirations, the Chubb Fellowship noted. The Chubb Fellowship roster has included heads of states, Nobel Prize winners, and leaders from every area of human endeavours who have inspired Yale students to see service to the public good as the highest calling to which a global citizen can aspire.
Who Get SRK?
Apparently, every actress in town is vying for this role. They've been sending feelers to the director. The movie in question is Rohit Shetty's next which stars Shah Rukh Khan. The director has a fabulous hit ratio at the box-office, this coupled with the fact that SRK is doing the movie has the actresses salivating at the prospect of doing the film. So apparently everyone from Priyanka Chopra, Asin to Deepika Padukone has expressed an interest to do the movie. But sources say the final race will be between Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The rest have been sidelined. So who will it be? Let's wait and watch.
They say Saif Ali Khan marches to his own tune. They say right. The actor won't do anything he isn't convinced about, even if it means losing out on a truckload of money. Recently, the marketing people from Illuminati Films cracked a deal with a phone company, where if they used their phone is Saif's home production Cocktail, the company was willing to pay them a huge amount of money. But when the marketing team told Saif that he'd have to reshoot one scene where he had a phone of a rival brand in his had, he did a double take. He refused to reshoot any scene in the movie. The marketing guys tried convincing him saying they would gain monetarily if Saif just reshot that one scene with the brand in question. But Saif being Saif simply dug his heels in and refused to budge. The marketing guys finally had to toe his line and let go of the money.
Bips' New Avatar In Raaz 3
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who gave Bipasha Basu her career's first big break a decade ago with Raaz, says the latest installment of the film will see the actress in a new avatar.
Bhatt says he has been on the sets and is happy with the way the Vikram Bhatt-directed film has shaped up. "Bipasha is going to reinvent herself with Raaz 3. She will reprise her acting skills and dazzle the screen. We are happy that she is back with us and don't want to miss the opportunity to bring the best out of her. She did a fabulous job in Raaz, which gave her due recognition in the industry," Bhatt said.
The filmmaker has no plans to go behind the camera again. "I am bored of making films. I have given my 12 years to the industry and always felt that you are not a human being if you don't have a story to tell. After all these years, I am concentrating on making stars out of normal actors and churning out good stories from new filmmakers," Bhatt said.
Asin has lost so much weight that her co-stars of Bol Bachachan, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn are really worried. So much that they are constantly egging her to eat on the sets at Wai. Abhishek keeps telling her that men like women with some flesh on them. Director Rohit Shetty has gone a step further and has asked his cook to make dishes for Asin. So throughout the outdoor schedule in Wai and Jaipur, the cook would make delicious dishes for her and her co-stars would coax her to eat. Also, they would force her to have dessert. In Wai, Rohit has an assistant whose only job was to fetch strawberries and cream and chocolate fudge from the nearby Mahabaleshwar. And, you've guessed it, Asin was made to indulge in them. Poor girl has to skip her diet while she was on the set of Bol Bachchan.
