Vidya, Emraan Reunite For Ghanchakkar
After winning accolades for portraying strong roles in The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, Vidya Balan is nervous about trying her hand at comedy with Ghanchakkar.
"We still haven't started working on this film yet. Hoping to start in August. It is my first comedy film, so I am very nervous," Balan, 34, said.
"I would not like to talk about my character in the film.
Ghanchakkar is a quirky film with Emraan Hashmi playing an ex-conman who is laid-back and has a taste for the finer things in life. He has an ambitious Punjabi wife, played by Balan, who has her own notions of the world.
The film reunites the pair who appeared together in The Dirty Picture. Produced by UTV, the film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta of Aamir and No One Killed Jessica fame. Filming is expected to start in August.
