A Formal Choice
For the Pakistani man, wardrobe choices for formal events are very limited and usually revolve around the conventional troika of shirts and suits, sherwanis and kurtas! These days, designers are experimenting with this trio and creating contemporary outfits that point towards fusion wear! Incorporating sherwani collars in shirts and kurtas, or shirt collars in kurtas – these styles have been tried and tested. Now, adorning men's wear with jewellery is a trend that is gaining some spotlight. There was a time when three-piece suits were incomplete without a chained pocket watch, nowadays sherwanis feature metallic buttons, somewhat along the lines of the feminine broach, to give a royal yet contemporary feel to the outfit. Other than that, the three-button suit is making a comeback, so all those who had shut these in the wardrobe a few years ago, should take them out and get them dry-cleaned. Moreover, for casual wear, jackets with contrasting lapels and chequered fabrics are in fashion. Even sports jackets with cuffs and contrasting pocket panels are a hype now. So
