POL, CNG Prices Go Up
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased the prices of petrol by Rs1.41 per litre and of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs1.29 per kg from July 16th for the next fortnight.
The regulator in its notification has fixed the new price of CNG in region-I (Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar and Balochistan) at Rs78.65 per kg and in region-II (Punjab and Sindh) at Rs71.92 per kg. The CNG price has basically increased by 90 paisas per MMBTU (Rs1.29 per kg).
Experts said since there was no raise in the price of diesel and that the transportation of goods from Karachi port to up-country would have no impact on end consumers.
