R. Madhavan, who will be seen in Tanu Weds Manu Returns next, believes in putting himself in the audience’s shoes before accepting a role and not for the sake of money.
“That’s the only mantra I have… whether or not I want to see the film in the theatre. I don’t want to make a story that seems to be made just because it made a lot of money,” Madhavan said.
He will be seen opposite National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut. Madhavan said he opt for scripts which are ahead of the young generation in terms of intelligence.
“The approach is that intelligence of the stories should be more intelligent than the younger generation which already knows a lot about everything,” he said.
