WHAT IS WORSE: LOAD SHEDDING
OR LOW VOLTAGE?

We know that load shedding is a major issue that we all face. Yet these days we are experiencing problems with the amount of voltage we receive as well. Every other night, instead of having no electricity at all, we have the problem of less voltage which slows down the fans, dims the lights and worst of all, the air conditioners don’t work at all. Switching on generators at such a time seems like a waste of fuel and power but we are left with no other choice. I would really like the authorities to do something about this problem as you really get disturbed and angry when the voltage is low.

POLLUTION ON A HIGH

A few days ago, I read a report in the newspaper that Multan is the most polluted city of Asia. I was shocked to read this. Pollution is not a problem of the developing countries but developed countries are also facing it. But in the developing countries like Pakistan, it has become necessary to take some serious steps to control this problem. It is not only the duty of the government but our responsibility as well to control this problem. Awareness should be created among people regarding the control and reduction of pollution. If we do not take this problem seriously, we would suffer as it might lead to dire consequences.

THE STATE OF OUR COUNTRY

Every other day I hear news about bomb blasts, people dying or something horrible happening in Pakistan. Why is it that our country has such a bad luck? Whose fault is it that most of our population suffers? The rich and elite turn a blind eye towards the country's problems and the educated people in general do not do anything. We should remind ourselves that we fought for a separate homeland so that it can be a safe haven for Muslims and a peaceful and pure land. We should all be ashamed of the state our country is in today. Thus it is the responsibility of every individual living here to prevent horrible things from happening here and make the authoritative figures realise their mistakes and at least try to build Pakistan the way our Quaid envisioned.

OH THESE DAYS!

When we wake up, there is a lot of work to be done. We get ready for our office, prepare breakfast and put on the television for an update on latest news. these days every other day is special. For example, Mother's day, Father's day etc. The celebration of these days instill emotional stability and love for the fellow beings and relatives in us. The more famous a day, the more it generates love. We should have more days like these.

HATS OFF TO PAKISTAN

The Pakistan cricket team has made us proud by winning the semi-final. Frankly, we were not expecting Pakistan to go that far. When the game began and a couple of wickets fell, we thought that it's all planned. They are here to lose as it is a known fact that cricket has become a gambler's paradise. But then the performance the boys showed, especially Shahid Afridi, withered all negative thoughts. It was Pakistani team at its best. We salute you!

ENGLISH MINGLISH

The Pakistan cricket team has done us proud, no doubts about it but I would like to request them to please learn how to speak correct English. I mean just look at them, they know they have to play international cricket but their speaking power is zero. Learning to speak English should be mandatory for every one aspiring to join the cricket team. At least they won't be made fun of in front of thousands of people.
