I am wary of the teams that come to give polio drops. I want to know, is it necessary to give the drops on polio days every time? Plus, do I have to give the drops available with the visiting teams or is it better to visit my doctor and give the drops there? Do polio teams have proper vaccine storage systems in place? If your child is immunised with Polio vaccine according to the regular vaccination schedule, then he does not need extra polio vaccine. But if you live in an area where polio patients have been found, it is important that you give the vaccine whenever the team visits. If you are wary of the vaccines that the team carries, check its expiry date, heat indicator and how cold is the temperature of the box in which they have kept the vaccine.
