Iqra Aziz is all geared up for upcoming drama, Raqeeb Se

When it comes to television, the most famous actresses can change like the seasons. With so many TV shows coming out one after another, there's always room for both emerging actresses and those at the peak of their careers. However, some of the most popular and best actresses today have remained in the spotlight for years, and may stay there for years to come. One such actress is Iqra Aziz, who has managed to awe the viewers time and again with her powerhouse performance. The Suno Chanda star is all set to bless our screens once again with upcoming drama, Raqeeb Se. The drama is directed by ace director, Kashif Nisar, and is written by famous screenwriter, Bee Gul. While speaking to a publication, Bee Gul says, “Raqeeb Se is a very complex love story. It is about the repercussions of a love story stretched around an entire lifetime. I find the notion of ‘love’ very complicated and complex. I don’t get to understand it fully and I don’t know if anybody does. So, the way I look at it and the layers I see in it, that is what Raqeeb Se is all about.”

Singer-turned-actor, Junaid Khan made that leap from music to film/TV and the results have been pretty spectacular. Khan is all set for his new venture alongside Hira Mani and Armeena Khan. The drama recently went on floors and is slated to go on-air in October. The drama revolves around a man who has an ideal relationship with his partner and lives a happy life with his family. Things take a turn when an outsider intervenes in their content lives, and he ends up facing some struggles which start a journey of self-contemplation and healing for him.

Mehreen Jabbar’s new web series to star Naeema Butt in the lead

When watching a movie or drama, viewers follow the journey of the main character, played by the lead actor. Every now and then, however, a supporting actor will capture the hearts of audiences and outshine the star. Naeema Butt, who played Shariq’s sister in Ehd-e-Wafa, got in the media limelight for her breakout role. Now, Butt is ready to woo us with her performance in a lead role in Mehreen Jabbar’s upcoming psychological thriller web series. Talking about her new role, Butt shared, “I have always been interested in exploring unique roles that challenge me as an actress, and this character is something entirely different from what I have done so far. So, I am really looking forward to the audience’s response to this one!”

Ahsan Khan and Neelam Munir pairing up yet again for a drama serial

After gaining all the praises for their comedy-thriller film Chupan Chupai, Neelam Munir and Ahsan Khan are once again pairing up for a new drama serial Qayamat. The serial would be an Ali Faizan directorial and produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment by Asad Qureshi and Abdullah Qadwani. Ahsan Khan in a conversation with a publication revealed, “My character is not any run-of-the-mill character. I'm slightly picky and choosy about what I do, and this falls under the experimentation category. It’s not a simple love story. My role has shades of slightly negative, weird - different aspects.” He also mentioned that with so much happening, the said script is a social family drama and a roller coaster ride of emotions. “Not to forget, Neelam is one of my favourite actresses,” the Udaari star added, while mentioning that the duo is also shooting for a film, Chakkar, production of which will resume in October. The drama will also be featuring Amar Khan, Shabbir Jan and Saba Faysal in prominent roles. However, no release date has been announced yet.
