Iffat Omar in hot water for admitting to exploit her celebrity crush during shoot

SIMMERING HOT WATER

In the fire-hose torrent of harassment scandals we are staggering under these days, one thing stands out as a common factor in all the cases: The accused are men. You may be thinking at this point... well, duh, this is something we all know instinctively. Women don't do this kind of thing – grope, talk dirty, assault, sexually coerce, even rape their work colleagues. It's a Y chromosome kind of thing, right? Well, that’s not always the case. Women often tend to make men uncomfortable through their actions but they somehow get away with it. Iffat Omar, recently on an episode of Say it All with Iffat Omar with Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan, recalls her shooting days with her celebrity crush, Rahat Kazmi. According to her, she kept asking the director for retakes for a scene in which they were hugging. She did that because she had a big crush on him and just wanted to embrace him. We’re not labeling her act as anything but let’s just say if the gender roles were swapped wouldn’t this have been considered as harassment?

Noman Ijaz faces backlash for his statement on infidelity and #MeToo movement

Quite a few entertainment scandals are based on speculation and secondhand information, so when a celebrity confirms an aspect of their relationship, it's always a big deal. And it's an even bigger deal if it involves cheating. Recently, veteran actor Noman Ijaz very openly admitted being unfaithful to his wife. During an interview with Iffat Omar on the show, Say it All with Iffat Omar, the actor spoke about having affairs and never been able to get caught because “he is a good actor”. “I am such an intelligent man and actor that my wife never finds out. The husbands of the women don’t find out either,” he says. During the very show, Ijaz made another comment that created a stir on social media and landed him in hot water. Speaking to Omar, Ijaz ridiculed the global #MeToo movement. According to him, “Movements like the #MeToo movement are dangerous, they are just happening because people are getting detached from religion.”
