If you are in to fashion and know a bit about how the fashion industry usually functions, then you would know about the importance of models and how crucial they are to the proper functioning of the whole industry. When it comes to a fashion show, the importance of a model is tantamount. It is the job of the model to wear a dress properly and then portray it to the onlookers in a manner that it looks both graceful and elegant to the viewers. Our fashion industry is lucky enough to have an immense amount of such talented models like Zoon Shiekh. The up-and-coming model is staging a fashion industry takeover. Brunette, bold and beautiful, Shiekh has graced countless runways, and numerous high fashion campaigns of luxury brands. But there's so much more to her than the gloss and the glamour. Here, MAG gets up close and personal with the model during a quick and fun rapid fire. Excerpts:

If your life was a movie, what genre would it be?

I don’t know, but yes, if I had a chance to write my life I would never write myself as a model. Instead, I would write myself as a business woman.

One thing you can eat any time of the day?

Biryani.

Favourite cartoon character of all time?

Courage from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

An actor you would want to swap lives with?

Alia Bhatt.

If you were to run away and start fresh, where would you go?

I would like to join college to complete my studies.

One ridiculous thing you grew up believing as a child?

When I was younger I believed that white skin is beautiful and dusky skin isn’t that beautiful. I was embarrassed of my skin tone. That was pretty ridiculous. I’ve overcome all that now and embraced my skin tone.

Best and worst purchase you have ever made?

Online purchasing sometimes has proven to be worst. I prefer buying things in person.

Favourite book of all time?

The Notebook.

If you could pick your own nickname, what would it be?

Zoon.

What would a day with yourself look like?

A day full of happiness.

Fear of deep water.
