Snapchat redesign irks users, petition to reverse design surpasses 1 million

The latest app redesign by Snapchat has annoyed its users around the world. The latest update of the app is aimed at widening the demand of this youth-oriented social network, which has recently agitated a majority of its users who are now demanding the design to be reversed and have complained about the sudden revamp of one of their most used service.

Following the critique of the redesign, a user initiated an online petition a few days after the update and over 578,000 users have since then signed the petition demanding the app’s parent company Snap to reverse the new design.

The petition states, “Many users have found that it has not made the app easier to use, but has, in fact, made many features more difficult.”

However, the company has not paid heed to users’ annoyance and has instead stated that “updates as big as this one can take a little getting used to, but we hope the community will enjoy it once they settle in.”
