Switzerland’s yodellers have something to be really excited about, as the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (LUASA) will be offering them degrees in the alpine art-form, yodelling – a form of singing that involves wobbling the voice up and down in a rapid change of pitch.

The university will be offering three-year bachelor’s degree as well as two-year master’s in yodelling. Courses for the said degree will start in the 2018-19 academic year. They have started accepting applications from February 28, and three or four students are expected to be chosen to take up the offered courses.
