With Cotodama’s Lyric Speaker in your living room, you’ll never mess up the words of your favourite songs ever. Launched last year in Japan, the speaker’s translucent screen displays the lyrics to a song as you’re listening to it, thanks to a Wi-Fi hook up to the iOS/Android app. Fonts and animations are automatically selected based on the mood and tempo of the melody. It won’t work for every song, but the lyric speaker draws on Japanese company PetitLyrics’ database of two million, so you’d think most of the classics are covered. Priced at over £4000 it’s very much a luxury purchase.
