ACER SWIFT

REVIEW

The first time you see the Acer Swift 1, you might think that the company has waved its price shrinking wand again. How? Well, let’s get the bad bit out of the way first. The laptop has a Pentium 4420 CPU, making it the least powerful laptop in this test. Don’t expect to edit video or play high-end games on the Swift 1. That said, Windows 10 runs well and it’s fine for light duties. And will hack Skyrim at 720p with all the fancy effects turned off. With 64GB storage you can’t install all that much on this laptop anyway, there are compromises. But if you ask us, the payoff is worth it. Add that with the all-aluminium shell as well as the simple, anodised design and you get something slightly special. Battery life of 7.5 hours is decent rather than mind blowing. So it isn’t a bad buy at all!
