VINTAGE AND QUIRKY RULE THE RUNWAY

As part of their ongoing global campaign – Pepsi Generations Showcase – the company is celebrating 120 years of the brand around the world. Taking the commercial route in Pakistan, the campaign spanned across various eras of the brand’s Pakistani ambassadors comprised of iconic celebs like Fawad Khan, Reema, Wasim Akram, Shahi Hassan and Zoheb Hassan. The campaign has been a hit among Pakistanis as they were taken back in time with alluring nostalgic adverts – a classic signature of the beverage brand. Keeping in touch with their tradition of boasting blue red and white hues, the brand has ventured into the world of fashion with their limited edition merchandise exuding retro quirky vibes and have partnered with three retail clothing brands to shake up things on the conventional ramp. This exclusive retro merchandise in collaboration with Outfitters, BTW (By The Way) and Leisure Club was launched through a grand fashion showcase in Lahore, where industry veterans as well as fashion icons came dressed to the nines.

The capsule collections were reminiscent of yesteryears fashion with a contemporary twist. One saw an array of casual western wear and fusioned sartorial pieces sported on the runway. The exclusive high street clothing line featured seperates from rugged denims to vintage T-shirts, billowing midis to pencil skirts, chic blazers to cool shorts, feisty jumpsuits to eccentric hemlines and most of it catering to vintage buffs.
Known for dressing top stars of the country, ace designer Ali Xeeshan pulled off a special show with his thematic clothing line with Iman Ali setting the ramp on fire as his muse. But someone that evening took everyone’s breath away by making a show stopping entry on the ramp. It was none other than the queen of Lollywood – Reema Khan, sashaying down the runway with panache. She effortlessly sported minimal yet sophisticated fashion – a black tank top with a pair of denims and a long coat to finish the look. It was raining celebs at the event, as Mikaal Zulfiqar, Faisal Kapadia, Bilal Maqsood, Goher Mumtaz and members of the Kashmir Band dazzled in hues of blue, white and red, exuding retro vibes. Strings outshined with their nostalgically amazing performance to end the glitzy evening.
