Twitter and Goal kicked off the 2018 FIFA World Cup by launching the first sports live show – #YallaGoal – in the Middle East and North African region on the platform. Hosted in Arabic, the biweekly evening show focuses on football related news on Twitter during the tournament. The show premiered three days leading up to the World Cup last week.

Produced by Goal, #YallaGoal covers a variety of World Cup topics including insights, football-related entertainment and celebrity news. The editorial insights include debates, team and player reviews as well as opta analyses, followed by entertainment segments that feature live Twitter polls and Q&A’s, humorous moments and competitions for viewers. As for the celebrity segment, it features exclusive interviews with guests from across the region.

The show also includes World Cup match recaps and Twitter reactions in a form of live video to appeal to a globally and socially connected Arab audience. Goals’ correspondents in Russia take viewers through tournament highlights as they unfold on the ground via live video calls.

The new iOS 12 feature will let users report unwanted spam texts and calls

With the release of iOS 12, Apple is poised to add a feature that Android users already know well: Spam reporting. It appears that the feature won't be baked in to run automatically at the system level, as it does on Google OS phones. In a post, Apple's developer website shares the details on “SMS and call spam reporting,” which is described as an app extension that users will have the option of turning on or off.

The website goes on to explain that users will be able to swipe left on individual items from their “Recents” list or in their Messages transcript. From there, they simply select the “Report” option and reporting feature handles things from there. Blocked numbers are also automatically added to the device's Blocked Contacts list.
