The latest edition of Lakmé Fashion Week Fall/Winter orchestrated a three-day fashion manifestation which bedazzled the onlookers with trends galore. The event welcomed the season’s raving trends and debuted new brands, designer collaborations and innovations in textile, making for several winning moments in the Indian fashion industry. As per the ritual, the trendsetting fashion show kick-started with its day one dedicated to the winter festive edition as per norm and its charm threw the spotlight on Bollywood showstoppers. Scores of designers played to their fondness for the Bollywood brigade, with many celebrities making headlines for both, turning showstoppers and making appearances with selective designers. Amongst the memorable lot was Shushmita Sen’s majestic walk, Kangana Ranaut’s redefinition of Monday blues and Janhvi Kapoor’s stunning showstopper debut. The showcases were a blend of handloom labels, bridal ensembles and party attires; with strong emphasis made on crafted bridal lehngas, which are every bride’s dream come true. The many trends sported included paint suits taking centre stage with rich prints and motifs, abundance of textile layering, experiments with print on print in a single silhouettes etc. The exquisite designs, their maestro designers and the glamorous muses took the fashion game many notches higher.
