The day is celebrated each year as the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern. It was declared World Post Day by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan in 1969.
World Mental Health Day is observed every year with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilising efforts in support of mental health.
The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.
