60 Seconds With Fatima Ali Butt

She might be born in London, but Fatima refuses to be known as a British. Always introducing herself as a Pakistani, Fatima clearly shows her ardent patriotism for the green flag. Wife to the famous actor and rock musician Ahmed Ali Butt, a fashion journalist and famed stylist and hair and makeup artist, she has made a distinct name for herself. Giving us 60 seconds of her life, Fatima shares her insightful journey of gaining religious faith and how it has transformed her life for good.

I can't stop thinking about...

Allah, eternal life, how to do deeds that ensure Allah's happiness and how to meet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) on the day of judgment. And how to be a good Muslim.

Who is the most inspirational in your life?

My parents, and my spiritual mentor. But the Ultimate inspirational guide would be our beloved Prophet PBUH.

What do you splurge on the most?

Now, Islamic books.

My guilty pleasure is...

Reading Islamic books, zikar, and talking about Islam, Pakistan & world politics.

I'm self-conscious about...

What I will take with me to the eternal life...

Home is...

The best place to remember Allah, to be with family and to be myself... I have two homes, one in Lahore and second in Madinah.

My worst habit is...

I make myself go numb when working or undergoing stress. It is good for work but damaging for relationships as people get scared and confused to see such strength from within and turning from a sensitive emotional wreck to a strong insensitive practical individual.

This makes me most happy...

When I am with family, when I pray and do zikar. Also the times when I performed Hajj and Umrah, nothing matches that.
