GLUED TO THE SCREEN
The Girl in the Spider’s Web

Claire Foy (The Crown) downplays the spiky, fetishistic ghoulishness of previous Lisbeth Salanders. Her version of the Swedish hacker vigilante looks like a chic, boyish cross between Joan of Arc and a barista. The story, once you get past the chases, disfigurements and deaths, is really just the latest opportunity for Foy to win us over with her vulnerability and resolve.

THE RIGHT NOTE
Barbra Streisand, Walls

Streisand has taken her displeasure with Donald Trump and turned it into an angry, imploring album that touches on immigration, intolerance and, of course, Trump. ‘Don’t Lie to Me’ is the rare political jeremiad that also sounds like a breakup song you can dance to. And she revisits her early hit ‘Happy Days Are Here Again.’ This version is drizzled with tears and ends in a sigh.

VISIT BEFORE YOU DIE
Easter Island, Rapa Nui, Chile

As Pakistanis, we are pretty big on travel destination like the Far East, Europe and North America but one of the best places to visit and must-see countries are in South America. Chile is a great option but the long haul travel and multiple flight changes usually cause the average South Asian traveller to skip these underrated countries, despite the fact that they can be light on the wallet too. Easter Island in Chile houses one of the most interesting historical monuments, called Moai, that were build by the Rapa Nui people nearly a 1000 years ago. Their historical significance quite obviously led to the site to be listed as a World Heritage Site under UNESCO.

A Nation’s Facts

As per a poll between 125 by the Institute of European Business Administration, it was concluded that Pakistanis are the 4th most intelligent people in the world.
