Facebook with a censor

SOCIAL MEDIA NEWS

Facebook is currently testing the ability to ban particular words, phrases and even unwanted emojis from the user’s wall. This feature will allow users to block certain words or phrases from appearing on the user’s wall. This feature will create a lot of ease for many users as they’ll not have to go through the hassle of editing every single post and comment. The feature will allow them to go throw the setup just once and the filter will then be applied to all of their posts.

Instagram dismisses fake followers, likes, and comments

Instagram accounts bloated with fake likes and follows, using third-party apps are about to be flattened. A new machine learning device from Instagram is now identifying accounts that used third-party apps to falsely boost their follower count as well as postings. According to them, it will then be removed from the account permanently. Since giving out the username and password to these types of apps can pose security risks, users who got affected by the fake purge will see an in-app notification, along with a shortcut to change the account password to lock the third party app out of the account. Other users will also be notified to change their passwords.
