Heinous death-row convicts are isolated on Soorado Island. There, law or even common sense does not exist. Utterly evil Carlos (Park Hee-Soon) dominates the island. To catch Carlos, former special detective Yool (Bruce Khan) goes undercover as a death-row convict and enters Soorado Island.

Carmen Sandiego

Netflix animated educational series that is based on the media franchise of the same name created by Broderbund. The series is produced by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt with DHX Media serving as the production company, and will contain a "serialized look at Carmen’s back story that is told from her perspective". Serving as an origin story for the eponymous fictional thieving villain, it will be the fourth Carmen Sandiego television show after the PBS game shows World and Time, and the Fox animated series Earth; it is also the first Carmen Sandiego show since the end of Earth in 1999.

Black Earth Rising
Genre: Thriller

The Honourable Woman was set against the backdrop of the Israel-Palestine conflict; with Black Earth Rising, Blick widens his scope even further, to examine the moral jurisdiction of the ICC and the west’s relationship with Africa. Harriet Walter plays a barrister, Eve Ashby, whose adopted daughter, Kate, survived the Rwandan genocide. Kate (Michaela Coel, proving she can do serious just as well as comedy) is dealing with her own ghosts, but when Eve takes on the prosecution of a warlord responsible for recruiting child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo – though, crucially, also for halting the slaughter of the Tutsis in 1994 – Kate begins to question who is on the right side.

Girl

The debut feature of Lukas Dhont, who co-wrote it with Angelo Tijssens (who are both cis), follows Lara, a 15-year-old trans girl (played by a cis actor) who dreams of becoming a ballerina. With a supportive father by her side, she grapples with the trials of attending a new school, training her late-to-dance feet and living in a body she’d rather not, all while starting hormone replacement therapy and preparing for gender confirmation surgery.
