The New Mutants is a standalone spinoff that expands the X-Men movie universe. The series, already part of the X-Men Comics universe, introduces a new crop of mutant characters born with special powers. Boone co-writes with Knate Gwaltney. Simon Kinberg produces with Lauren Shuler Donner.
Zero Dark Thirty's Kathryn Bigelow executive produces this unflinching look into the Mexican drug trade. The bravery of director Matthew Heineman is commendable, as he troops into areas where two vigilante militia groups fight to reclaim their territory from the country's most notorious drug cartels.
Eighteen months ago, an anonymous woman accused Ansari of sexual misconduct in a scathing article. Right Now, directed by Spike Jonze, is Ansari’s response. The comedian opens Right Now by expressing his shame and regret over the incident (although, notably, he never quite apologises), then spends the rest of the special interrogating the effect of “wokeness'” on pop culture – and Ansari himself.
Taylor Swift’s albums have always been filled with catchy tunes and expert storytelling. Her newest album, Lover, features a new and improved image of Taylor. A far cry from the stark black and white imagery from her last album, this time around Swift seems to be embracing love in a natural and infectious kind of way.
