ASK A REIKI HEALER

What is Reiki and how is it a healing method?

Reiki is an universal life energy. Rei means universal and Ki means life force energy. Reiki is recognised as a spiritual energy in every part of the world.

Can I learn how to do it?

Self-healing with Reiki is aimed at everyone who has done Reiki at any level, whether they have just completed a first degree course, have practiced their second degree skills for a few years or have been teaching Reiki for decades as a Reiki master. If you can’t help yourself, how can you help other people? When you give Reiki to somebody, it passes through you and then it also heals you, but your focus has to be on yourself so that you become strong and if somebody is in a ditch you cannot take that person out of it. But if you are weak, how can you pull somebody out of the ditch.

How does Reiki work?

When you start practicing Reiki, you become very aware. Acknowledgment, acceptance, awareness and then action. These are the four things which you have to do for your own self, on your spiritual level, on your mental level, on your physical level and on your emotional level. When you acknowledge something which is bothering you then you accept it, even if it is anger then you acknowledge that you are an angry person. Then there is awareness of why am I angry, what is that is causing anger within me and then comes the action. What action are you going to take, and in that action Reiki helps because it is a spiritual

energy. It gives you intuition to heal yourself. The moment you take care of yourself, you will be able to take care of other people.

How can a healer help patients?

I hope to provide some unique method of using Reiki more creatively for your own healing and for personal or spiritual development. The emphasis here is on enjoying Reiki and having fun using it to help yourself, to live a healthier and more balanced life, and then treating it with respect it deserves as one of the world’s greatest gift; a healing system for anyone and everyone that is easy to learn and easy to use. •
