It was later that he was fired. And the official reason for that seems to be that he was generally too ‘fresh’ with all the nurses. One Resident Medical Officer, who also got fired the same night for asking a young doctor out, said in a whisper that the accused doctor used to harass a cafeteria girl by spoon-feeding ice cream to her, although she told him that she never liked that particular flavour. Yeah, well, pistachio one… so, there’s sexual harassment for you! An inquiry was in process against the medical man, even before he got that reaction from Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy – that’s what got him fired, they say. Sorry, but buddy, you had it coming. It’s no Burqa Avenger you were getting palsy-walsy with - it’s Sharmeen’s sis, and Sharmeen has boiling blood samples! The worst mistake he committed was that he commented on her sister’s pictures on her social media account. Even before becoming a Facebook pal, the doctor was imagining the photographs as official chits to write prescriptions on. Seems like simple antibiotics can’t cure him!
