Tied up in the courts, all legal cases against Bilal Lashari’s film have finally been withdrawn and the film got clearance for release. The trailer was released in December 2018 but the release was postponed due to copyright claims filed by Sarwar Bhatti, the producer of the original Maula Jatt (1979). With all legal hurdles out of the way, it looks like The Legend of Maula Jatt will be an Eid-ul-Fitr release, however, confirmations from the producers are awaited. The cast includes Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick and Gohar Rasheed.
