When it comes to makeup, there are so many products to try and add to your next beauty look. Of course, buying every mascara, eye shadow and blush you come across can add up pretty quick. We admit that being a makeup junkie is an expensive hobby. But there’s no need to break the bank! Here, learn how to create an everyday makeup look using only five products.

Product#1: Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock

Prepping your skin before makeup application is the most important step. Once you’ve washed your face with a gentle facial cleanser, it’s time to moisturise. While most people look for a moisturiser when it comes to hydrating their skin, we prefer using a sunblock. Unlike most sunblock lotions, the Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ does not have a runny consistency. Instead, it is thick and creamy. But, again, unlike most other sunblocks, it is easily absorbed into your skin with a quick massage, without leaving behind a film of grease. The product also has a very light lotion-like fragrance, making it perfect for those who prefer products that do not have a strong fragrance.

Product#2: Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation

Foundation is one of the most important cosmetics items. Just a touch of the right foundation can even skin tone, blur imperfections, enhance radiance, and provide a smooth canvas for the rest of your makeup routine. Looking for the perfect foundation fit? Maybelline’s Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation is all about your individual skin tone and texture. Ideal for normal to oily skin types, the liquid foundation leaves a natural finish on the skin that’s never flat or cakey for a natural makeup look.

Tip: Apply your foundation where it is needed most, through the center of your face, and blend it outwards. This way you achieve the most natural look while avoiding the dreaded line of demarcation, or that foundation line on your chin.

Product#3: The Body Shop Loose Powder

We have been searching for a face powder that does not cost an arm and a leg, has spf, and that matches to our foundation. Enter The Body Shop Loose Powder. Setting powder needs to come in loose form. Don’t let anyone tell you different. Set your face with this loose powder and it would just look as if a soft filter is out on your face.

Tip: To avoid picking too much loose powder on your brush or puff, shake some powder into a container. You can use the top as a container.

Product#4: Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara

You can certainly not be done with your makeup without any eye makeup at all. Amp up your eyelashes with Tarte Lights, Camera, Flahses Mascara. It’s a blacker-than-black, longwearing mascara that creates luxuriously long and thick, faux-looking lashes.

Tip: The best way to get those curly lashes is to curl your lashes once before applying mascara and once after the mascara has dried. It is hands-down, the most impactful way to make them legit long and fluttery fringe. To make lashes look extra thick, it’s best to dab and puff the lashes with translucent powder before applying the mascara.

Product#5: Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil

When you have to get ready under just five products, most girls tend to use their lipsticks as blushons. But why damage your skin using a product that is not made for your cheeks? Instead, try Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil, a matte pencil made for both your lips and your cheeks. So, tie your look together and give your pout and your cheeks a subtle pink flush with a swipe of this two in one pencil.
