The world comes to a halt, all world events are cancelled with the rising threat of COVID-19 and it looks like the work from home policy is fairly in place, however, updates from the entertainment industry continues to fly out. While production is on hold, news flies out from the fraternity, even in times of uncertainty for what shall grace the screens in the coming months.


Wahaj Ali and Hajra Yamin to star in Fly

The duo of Ehd-e-Wafa fame has been casted to star in Asma Nabeel’s feature film Fly, the news was shared online by the Khaani scriptwriter. Writer Asma Nabeel made the announcement via her Instagram this morning. “A long journey for a cause that’s very close to my heart. My penned film Fly on the cause of Breast Cancer and I am so glad to announce Hajra Yamin, Wahaj Ali, Beo Raana Zafar joining this heart touching story,” she wrote. Fly will be directed by Misbah Khalid. Asma also announced that the film will be crowd-funded so people can be more involved in the movie. The

Khaani writer wants this movie to raise awareness about breast cancer, being a survivor herself. Nabeel also said that the film is “from the females of Pakistan for the females of Pakistan. May Allah pave the way for us and help us succeed,” she added.


Comic Arslan Naseer will make his screen debut

You know the famous social media parody page Comic by Arslan? The one who gave us hilarious parody videos, reviews and comic sketches to watch for hours on end on our phones is coming to a bigger screen. He is all set to make his debut with a screenplay alongside Osman Khalid Butt in Danish Nawaz’s upcoming comedy play. “My first TV project as an actor and that too with these amazing people! (a few missing though) Coming soon, stay tuned guys,” Arslan wrote.


Yalghaar gets a TV premiere

The action-packed thriller Yalghaar is a Pakistani film which many may not have seen. The Hassan Rana’s directorial boasted of an ensemble cast featuring Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Ayesha Omar, Bilal Ashraf, Armeena Rana Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Gohar Rasheed and many more. The film, under current circumstances, is giving viewer’s a chance to watch it now in the comfort of your home and shall have a TV premiere.
