Wajhi Farooki, the lead vocalist of sufi pop rock band, Raeth, has spent the past few years gaining attention and acclamation around the globe with his sumptuous, close harmonies and thoughtful lyricism. Spending money. [laughs]

Best compliment you have ever received?

About my song Bhula Do. Someone in Gwalior, India told me that my song stopped him from committing suicide after a breakup.

If you could be a child for one day, what would you do?

Go to school again, play with my childhood friends.

Virat Kohli’s bat.

What can turn the day around for you?

A call from Quentin Tarantino for an OST.

Your favourite health care regimen?

I follow a simple rule of eating less and healthy and burn more. I don’t prefer eating after 9pm.

Tell us an embarrassing story.

Once I missed my flight thinking it was scheduled for two in the afternoon but it was in the morning.

Something you wish you had more time to do?

Practice music.

If you could meet a person for the first time again, who would it be?

Shahrukh Khan.
