Who isn’t aware of the infamous Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood producer whose inappropriate demeanour has led several women from Hollywood to come forward and share their tales of the horrific encounters they have had with him. All of these women are named as Time magazine’s Person of the Year with the title “The Silence Breakers”. In a powerful profile, the magazine has named women who broke their silence on assault and abuse, while beating out a short list that included the likes of U.S. President Donald Trump, Colin Kaepernick, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and Wonder Woman director, Patty Jenkins. The issue features profile of the women who have to suffer – either silently or not – through all classes of life, from being a maid to a movie star. It talks about their horrifying stories from Hollywood and outside of it. All of these featured women have been afraid of coming out about these assaults due to blowback, but are not afraid anymore.
