She is amongst one of the 11 artists working at the Delft Pottery De Delftse Pauw, a factory in a beautiful Dutch town with walkways next to canals and small bridges. During the 16th and 17th centuries Delft Blue or Delft pottery was in great demand so much so that makers had to struggle to meet the demand. I had a fascinating walk around the factory learning how the exquisite blue and white, world famous pottery has become the identity of Netherlands. De Delftse Pauw is among the few factories that still produce entirely handmade and hand painted traditional Delftware adorned with traditional Dutch landscapes.
