The current and depressing case of the young Zainab and the child-molester shocked the nation. TV drama channels need to create more issue-based serials that can open the eyes of more couch potatoes, who routinely enjoy meaningless, hackneyed scripts every evening.

Finally, Ahsan has started to look for visionary roles rather than just cushioned fillers that have made many people swear off drama channels. Other artistes are also waking up to the fact, as you can see Meekal Zulfiqar and Shehzad Sheikh in recent serials. You can’t say it’s only the blame for the writers and directors.
