Emaad Irfani Cool, But How Long!

In Mah-e-Tamam, you can see it’s a va va voom pair! Naveen looks gorgeous, and Emaad is as handsome as he looked in Saya-e-Deewar Bhee Naheen. But, once again, sorry for robbing the scribe of any praise! It’s nothing to write home about!

Why have all channels torn off the progressive pages? Have we all become terribly pessimistic? I mean, can’t we have one track of some meaningful prose? Not many visionaries like Munnu Bhai and Ashfaq Ahmed left in our media, perhaps! But, then, what about people like Shahid Mahmood Nadeem, the doyen of Ajoka? What about Sarmad Sehbai, who penned the film titled Mah-e-Mir? What about Shoaib Mansoor, who gave us films like Khuda ke Liyay and Bol, and Verna? That means the channels want a particular kind of drama!

Emaad looks cool, but they are wasting him. Not many men from commercial wings make it across the art divide. Emaad has done so. Given a bigger purpose in life, inside the script, he will keep his freshness alive. Otherwise, soon, he will also start looking stale, with hackneyed clichés and lackluster scripts.
